The EQUIP stipend, offered in partnership with Maine Career Catalyst, was created to reduce barriers for Black, indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), first-generation, and women in STEM interns. Previous interns reported their award contributed to reducing barriers related to housing, transportation, relocation, and general financial stability during their summer internship.
